Baptism (Burial)

Colossians 2:11-12 - New Testament circumcision is water baptism in Jesus name.

John 3:5 - Except a man be born again of “Water”, which is obviously baptism, he cannot enter the Kingdom.

Matthew 28:19 - The Great Commission was the teach, and baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. It is important that we recognize this name to be Jesus. Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are only three of the hundreds of titles God has, they are not His name (singular).

John 5:43 - Jesus said, “I am come in my Father’s name.”

Luke 23:47 - Luke’s rendering of the same Great Commission that Jesus spoke of says, “that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in My name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Mark 16:15-16 - He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.

Acts 2:38 - Peter standing up with the eleven (verse 14), which included Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John also, preached water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins. (Luke 24:47) Remission of sins should be preach in HIs (Jesus) name.

Acts 2:41 - Three-thousand received Peter’s message and they were baptized in Jesus’ name and were added to the church.

Acts 8:16 - The Samaritans were baptized in the name of Jesus.

Acts 10:47-48 - Peter commanded the Gentiles to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Acts 16:33 - The Philippian Jailer and all his house were baptized.

Acts 19:1-5 - Here Paul rebaptized John’s disciples in the name of Jesus even though they had already been baptized in water before. It is important to be baptized the Bible way, in Jesus name.

Colossians 3:17 - Do all things in Jesus name.

Acts 4:12 - Salvation comes only in the name of Jesus, not His titles.
